Lyrics
( Zephaniah )
Zephaniah begins with a warning call,
God’s judgment is coming on sinners all.
“I’ll sweep away everything from the land,
Man and beast by My mighty hand.
Judah and nations, all will fall,
For idolatry and pride, I’ll destroy them all.”
Zephaniah reminds us the Day is near,
A time of judgment, trembling, and fear.
God’s people turned from Him in shame,
Worshiping idols and profaning His name.
The leaders were corrupt, the prophets untrue,
The priests defiled the temple too.
God declared, “I’ll stretch out My hand,
And punish the wicked throughout the land.”
Zephaniah warns us to turn from sin,
And seek the Lord while there’s time to begin.
The Lord’s judgment extends far and wide,
To Philistia, Moab, and nations with pride.
Assyria and Cush will face their fate,
Their power and wealth will disintegrate.
“For all who defy Me will be brought low,
My justice and power the world will know.”
Zephaniah shows that no one can hide,
From the justice of God, strong and wide.
“Seek the Lord, all you humble and meek,
Seek righteousness, and My mercy seek.
Perhaps you’ll be hidden on judgment day,
When My anger burns and sweeps sin away.
Turn from pride, from greed, and lies,
And follow My ways, where salvation lies.”
Zephaniah calls us to turn and pray,
To seek God’s mercy without delay.
After judgment, hope will rise,
God will restore what was lost to the skies.
“I’ll purify the lips of all mankind,
And nations will call on My name combined.
The humble and faithful will dwell in peace,
And My blessings and care will never cease.”
Zephaniah points to a future bright,
When God’s people will walk in His light.
“Sing, O Zion! Rejoice and shout,
For the Lord your God has cast fear out.
He is with you, mighty to save,
His love will quiet, His joy will wave.
I’ll gather the broken, the exiled, the weak,
They’ll find a home, the rest they seek.”
Zephaniah reveals God’s love and grace,
For those who trust and seek His face.
God promises a kingdom that will endure,
A place for the humble, righteous, and pure.
“I’ll restore your fortunes, give you a name,
Among the nations, declare your fame.
I’ll bring you home, where you’ll never roam,
In My presence, you’ll find your home.”
Zephaniah points to a future day,
When God’s kingdom will forever stay.
The book of Zephaniah is stern yet bright,
It warns of judgment but ends with light.
It speaks of the Day when God will reign,
Bringing justice, peace, and ending pain.
It calls us to repent, to seek His face,
And trust in His mercy, His love, and grace.

To redeem and restore His people again.
