Lyrics

(Haggai)

Haggai spoke to God’s people one day,

“Why is God’s house in disarray?

You live in luxury, your homes complete,

While the Lord’s temple lies in defeat.

Consider your ways, return to the Lord,

Rebuild His house and be restored.”

Haggai reminds us to put God first,

And seek His kingdom to quench our thirst.

The people obeyed and began the task,

But their strength and courage didn’t last.

So Haggai spoke, “Be strong and build,

For God is with you, His Word fulfilled.

His Spirit remains, so do not fear,

He will provide, He is always near.”

Haggai teaches that when we obey,

God gives us strength for each new day.

The people wept for the temple’s past,

Its former glory seemed unsurpassed.

But God declared, “Do not despair,

The glory to come will beyond compare.

I’ll shake the nations, the treasures will flow,

My house will be filled with splendor aglow.”

Haggai points to a greater plan,

God’s glory revealed to every man.

“You’ve sown much but harvested small,

You’ve worked hard but gained little at all.

From this day forward, mark it well,

Obedience will break the drought’s spell.

The fields will flourish, the vines will bear,

For My blessings will fill the air.”

Haggai reminds us that when we obey,

God provides for us in every way.

To Zerubbabel, God sent His Word,

A promise of power from the Lord.

“I’ve chosen you, My servant, My sign,

Through you, My covenant will shine.

I’ll shake the heavens, the earth, and the sea,

And establish My kingdom eternally.”

Haggai points to the coming King,

Through whom God’s salvation will spring.

The Lord declared, “I’ll shake the earth,

The nations will see My power and worth.

The treasures of kingdoms will flow to My house,

And peace will reign as My glory pours out.

All silver and gold belong to Me,

And I’ll fill this temple with majesty.”

Haggai reminds us of God’s control,

Over all creation, every heart, every soul.

The message of Haggai is clear and concise,

To put God first is the ultimate advice.

“Consider your ways, your hearts, your time,

Make God’s kingdom your focus, your climb.

When you honor the Lord, blessings will flow,

And His glory in your life will grow.”

Haggai teaches that when we obey,

God’s presence and peace will always stay.

The book of Haggai is a call to renew,

To rebuild God’s house and seek what is true.

It warns against selfishness, greed, and pride,

And calls us to put God first as our guide.

It points to Christ, the greater glory to come,

Through whom God’s eternal kingdom is won.

Haggai reminds us to trust and obey,

And to glorify God in all our ways.
