(PROVERBS)

The book of Proverbs begins with a plea,

To seek wisdom, God’s gift, eternally.

“The fear of the Lord is the start of all,”

A foundation for wisdom, answering His call.

Fools despise knowledge and choose their pride,

But the wise walk with God as their guide.

Proverbs reminds us to seek and obey,

To live in wisdom every day.

Wisdom is more precious than silver or gold,

Its blessings are greater than riches untold.

It gives knowledge, peace, and length of days,

And guides our steps in righteous ways.

Lady Wisdom calls out in the streets,

Inviting all to learn and meet.

The wise will listen and grow in skill,

While fools reject and follow their will.

Proverbs offers advice for daily living,

On relationships, work, and the joy of giving.

It warns of dangers like pride and greed,

And teaches kindness to those in need.

Hard work brings wealth, laziness lacks,

A diligent hand stays on track.

It teaches us how to live and grow,

In every season, God’s wisdom to show.

“Above all else, guard your heart,”

For from it flows life’s most vital part.

The tongue has power for death or life,

It can bring peace or stir up strife.

Words of truth bring healing and light,

But lies and gossip lead to night.

Proverbs warns us to speak with care,

And let our hearts be pure and fair.

The righteous walk in paths of light,

Their steps are guided, their ways are right.

The wicked stumble in darkness and sin,

Their lives bring ruin from within.

God blesses the humble, but opposes the proud,

The righteous rejoice, while fools are loud.

Proverbs contrasts the two ways to live,

Teaching us wisdom that God will give.

Proverbs teaches about friendship true,

“Faithful friends are a gift to you.”

It warns of bad company that leads astray,

And urges us to choose the righteous way.

A wise spouse brings joy and peace,

While quarrelsome words make love decrease.

Parents are called to teach and guide,

To train their children and walk beside.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,”

Lean not on your understanding’s part.

In all your ways, acknowledge His name,

And He will make your paths straight and plain.

Wisdom begins with faith in God,

Who leads us through life’s path unflawed.

Proverbs reminds us to trust and pray,

For God’s wisdom will light the way.

The book of Proverbs is a treasure to keep,

Its wisdom is practical, profound, and deep.

It teaches us how to live and grow,

To honor God in all we know.

Through discipline, trust, and fear of the Lord,

We gain wisdom as our reward.

Proverbs invites us to walk in light,

And live in God’s wisdom, His truth, and His might.
