Philippians






Paul writes with gratitude and cheer,


For the Philippians’ faith so sincere.


“I thank my God for your partnership true,


In spreading the gospel, in all you do.


He who began a good work in you,


Will carry it on until it’s through.”


Philippians celebrates joy in Christ,


And the unity of believers sacrificed.






Paul calls the church to unity’s way,


To live in humility every day.


“Have the same mind as Christ above,


Who humbled Himself in perfect love.


He became a servant, obeyed God’s plan,


Exalted as Lord of every man.”


Philippians calls us to reflect His heart,


Living humbly, set apart.






Paul rejoices despite his chains,


For Christ is preached, and the gospel reigns.


“To live is Christ, to die is gain,


I’ll glorify Him through joy or pain.


Whatever happens, conduct yourselves,


Worthy of Christ, in whom you dwell.”


Philippians shows joy that’s not confined,


But rooted in Christ, in heart and mind.






Paul warns of pride and legalism’s snare,


Salvation is by Christ, not works we bear.


“Forgetting what’s behind, I press ahead,


Toward the prize of life instead.


Our citizenship is heaven above,


We await our Savior, the Lord of love.”


Philippians calls us to strive and run,


Toward the prize in God’s Son.






“Rejoice in the Lord, again I say,


Let your gentleness be on display.


Do not be anxious, but pray instead,


God’s peace will guard your heart and head.


Think of what’s noble, pure, and true,


And the God of peace will be with you.”


Philippians teaches joy and peace,


In Christ, these gifts will never cease.






Paul speaks of contentment learned,


Through plenty and hunger, trials discerned.


“I can do all things through Christ’s great power,


He strengthens me in every hour.


You shared in my troubles, gave with care,


God will supply your needs everywhere.”


Philippians calls us to trust and rest,


In Christ’s provision, we are blessed.






Paul ends with praise and a final plea,


“Grace and peace to you from eternity.


My God is able to meet your need,


To Him be glory in word and deed.


Rejoice in the Lord, hold fast His truth,


For He is your joy, your hope, your proof.”








The book of Philippians is full of cheer,


Joy in Christ shines bright and clear.


It calls us to live with humble hearts,


Reflecting Christ in all our parts.


It teaches contentment, peace, and grace,


And joy that transcends every place.


Philippians reminds us to rejoice and sing,


For Christ is our Savior, our Lord, our King.
