Lyrics
(Ephesians )
Paul begins with praise and delight,
For blessings poured out through Christ
“Chosen in Him before time began,
Redeemed by His blood, according to God’s plan.
We’re sealed by the Spirit, we are free,
Of our inheritance for eternity.”
Ephesians shows God’s love so true,
Uniting all things in Christ anew.
“You were dead in sin, lost and blind,
But God, in mercy, was loving and kind.
By grace, through faith, you’ve been saved,
Not by works, but the gift He gave.
We’re His workmanship, created to do,
Good works He prepared in advance for you.”
Ephesians proclaims salvation’s story,
All by grace, for God’s glory.
Christ has broken the dividing wall,
Uniting Jew and Gentile, one and all.
“Once far off, you’ve now come near,
By the blood of Christ, there’s no more fear.
One body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord,
One faith, one baptism, one God adored.”
Ephesians calls us to unity’s way,
To live as one in Christ each day.
The church is a body, Christ is the head,
Through Him, we’re alive, though once we were dead.
“Each part has a purpose, a role to play,
Building each other in love every day.
Put off the old, be renewed in your mind,
Put on the new self, holy and kind.”
Ephesians shows the church’s design,
A holy people, by God’s divine.
“Walk in love, as Christ has done,
Walk in the light, as children of day,
Expose the darkness, show the way.
Walk in wisdom, make the most of time,
Be filled with the Spirit, holy and sublime.”
Ephesians calls us to live a life,
That reflects God’s love and avoids all strife.
Paul teaches husbands and wives to live,
In love and respect, with all they give.
“Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the chrurch,
Wives, respect your husbands, stand by their side.
Children, obey, for this pleases the Lord,
Parents, raise them in God’s accord.”
Ephesians shows how relationships thrive,
Through love, submission, and Christ alive.
“Be strong in the Lord, in His mighty power,
Stand firm in the evil hour.
Put on the armor, fight the fight,
With truth, righteousness, and the gospel light.
Faith, salvation, and the Spirit’s sword,
Pray in the Spirit, trust in the Lord.”
Ephesians ends with a call to stand,
Strong in Christ, by God’s hand.
