Lyrics
(Philemon )
Paul writes with love to a dear friend,
A personal letter he’s eager to send.
“To Philemon, faithful and kind,
Grace and peace from God you’ll find.
Your love refreshes the hearts of saints,
You’ve shown kindness without complaints.”
Philemon begins with a heartfelt tone,
A message of love to make Christ known.
Paul appeals for a runaway slave,
To be welcomed back, now redeemed and brave.
“I appeal for Onesimus, once far away,
But now a brother in Christ today.
He was once useless, but now he’s true,
A dear son to me and a brother to you.”
Philemon teaches forgiveness and grace,
Restoring relationships in love’s embrace.
Verse 3: A Call to Forgive
Paul asks Philemon to forgive the past,
And welcome Onesimus home at last.
“If he’s wronged you or owes you a debt,
Charge it to me, don’t forget.
I’ll repay it, though you owe me your life,
Forgive him fully, end all strife.”
Philemon calls for a heart that’s free,
To love and forgive as Christ loves thee.
Paul highlights the change in Onesimus’ life,
No longer a slave, but a brother in Christ.
“Welcome him as you would welcome me,
For now he’s part of God’s family.
No longer a servant, but a brother so dear,
Loved by us both, in Christ held near.”
Philemon celebrates redemption’s call,
Uniting believers, one and all.
