(Mark )

Mark begins with a powerful word,

“The good news of Jesus,” the message heard.

John the Baptist prepares the way,

Calling for repentance without delay.

Jesus is baptized, the heavens part,

The Spirit descends, God speaks to His heart.

Mark shows Jesus, the Son of God,

Bringing salvation where sinners trod.

Jesus proclaimed, “The kingdom is near,

Repent and believe, for God is here!”

He called His disciples, “Follow Me,”

And taught them to fish for eternity.

He healed the sick, cast demons away,

And preached the good news day by day.

Mark shows Jesus, full of power and grace,

Revealing God’s kingdom in every place.

Jesus calmed the storm with a word so clear,

“Peace, be still,” and the waves disappeared.

He healed the leper, raised the dead,

Multitudes followed where He led.

Even demons knew His name,

And trembled at His holy fame.

Mark reveals that Jesus is Lord,

With power to heal and life restored.

Jesus taught in parables, stories profound,

Of seeds and soils, where truth is found.

“The kingdom grows like a mustard seed,

Small beginnings meet every need.

The sower spreads the Word of life,

Some reject it, others thrive.”

Mark shows the mystery of God’s plan,

His kingdom grows in the hearts of man.

Jesus warned, “Take up your cross,

Follow Me, no matter the cost.

What good is it to gain the world,

But lose your soul, your treasure unfurled?

The first will be last, the least will be great,

For I came to serve, not dominate.”

Mark teaches us to follow the Son,

By surrendering all for the victory won.

Betrayed by Judas, arrested at night,

Jesus was condemned without a fight.

The crowd cried, “Crucify the King!”

Mocked and beaten, enduring everything.

He carried His cross, bore our sin,

Died to bring salvation to all men.

Mark reveals the depth of His love,

A sacrifice for the world from heaven above.

On the third day, the women came,

The tomb was empty—He rose again!

“Go and tell, He is not here,

He’s alive, so do not fear.

Proclaim the gospel to every land,

Baptize and teach, just as I have planned.”

Mark ends with a command from the King,

To share the good news of everything.

The book of Mark is fast-paced and clear,

Showing the Savior who draws us near.

The Servant King who came to save,

Through His life, His death, and empty grave.

It calls us to follow, to trust, obey,

And proclaim His love every day.

Mark reveals Jesus, the Son of God,

Who came to serve and save the flawed.
