(Leviticus)

God spoke to Moses, His law to give,

A holy standard for how to live.

Israel called to be set apart,

Worship and purity, a sacred heart.

From Mount Sinai, instructions came,

To honor God and His holy name.

A covenant people, sanctified and true,

Living for Yahweh in all they do.

Burnt offerings rise, a pleasing smell,

Sin and guilt, their stories tell.

Grain and peace, thanksgiving made,

Fellowship restored, debts repaid.

Blood on the altar, life in the vein,

Atonement given to cleanse the stain.

God’s mercy shown through sacrifice,

A system pointing to Christ’s price.

Aaron and sons, the priestly line,

Anointed to serve, a role divine.

Holy garments, consecrated hands,

Mediators between God and man.

Sacrifices offered, incense burned,

God’s glory seen, His favor earned.

A sacred calling, a holy task,

To lead in worship, the people ask.

Clean and unclean, laws to obey,

For health and holiness every day.

Animals divided, food defined,

Purity kept in body and mind.

Skin diseases, garments, and mold,

God’s instructions, wisdom told.

Holiness required in every part,

A purified body, a sacred heart.

Once a year, the holiest day,

The high priest enters to kneel and pray.

Blood of the goat on the mercy seat,

Atonement made, sin’s defeat.

One goat released, the scapegoat sent,

Bearing the sins, a covenant meant.

God’s forgiveness, His grace displayed,

A way for the guilty to be remade.

Be holy as I am holy, God commands,

Holiness woven through all demands.

Love your neighbor, honor the poor,

Justice upheld, mercy outpoured.

Sexual purity, truth to speak,

A life of worship, humble and meek.

God’s people called to reflect His ways,

In every moment, through all their days.

Sacred feasts, appointed times,

Celebrations marked by holy signs.

Passover speaks of deliverance past,

Firstfruits show blessings that will last.

Trumpets sound, atonement made,

Tabernacles keep His glory displayed.

Sabbath rest, a holy refrain,

Trust in God, His peace sustains.
