Lyrics

(3 John)

“To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love,

May you prosper, blessed from above.

Your faithfulness brings me great delight,

You walk in truth, you live in light.”

“You welcome strangers, you serve with care,

In love and truth, God’s work you share.

Send them off in a manner that’s right,

For such deeds bring God delight.”

“Beware of Diotrephes, who seeks his own way,

Rejecting truth, leading others astray.

Imitate what’s good, not what’s wrong,

For God loves those to whom good belongs.”

“Demetrius walks in truth and grace,

His life reflects God’s Holy face.

Follow his example, pure and true,

In all you say, in all you do.”

“I have much to say, but not with pen,

I hope to see you face-to-face again.

Peace to you, my dear, good friend,

May grace and love be yours to the end.”
