Lyrics
(Jude )
Jude begins with a warning and plea,
To fight for the faith delivered to thee.
“I wanted to write of salvation we share,
But I must warn you, so be aware:
For ungodly people have slipped inside,
Twisting God’s grace, and truth they’ve denied.”
Jude starts with a call to stand for what’s true,
To guard the faith entrusted to you.
Jude warns of those who lead astray,
Corrupting the truth in what they say.
“They deny the Lord and follow their lust,
Like Cain, Balaam, and Korah unjust.
They’re clouds without rain, trees without fruit,
Twice dead, uprooted, with no lasting root.”
Jude exposes the danger within,
Of those who live in rebellion and sin.
Jude recalls how God acts in wrath,
Judging the wicked who stray from His path.
“Remember Sodom, Gomorrah’s fate,
Destroyed by fire for their sinful state.
The Lord will judge and bring to light,
The deeds of those who reject what’s right.”
Jude reminds us that God is just,
Punishing evil as He must.
Jude warns of scoffers who mock and divide,
Following their passions, with sin as their guide.
“They cause divisions, they do not believe,
They seek their own gain, their lies deceive.
They follow instincts, not the Spirit’s call,
And stumble themselves, causing others to fall.”
Jude urges believers to stay on guard,
For scoffers whose hearts are cold and hard.
