(2 Timothy)
Paul writes to Timothy, his beloved son,
Encouraging him to stay faithful and run.
“Fan into flame the gift of God,
For the Spirit gives power, love, and not fraud.
Do not be ashamed of the gospel’s call,
Share in suffering and give your all.”
Timothy begins with a heartfelt plea,
To stand firm in faith and live faithfully.
Paul reminds Timothy of the gospel’s worth,
To guard and share its message on earth.
“Hold to the truth you’ve heard from me,
Guard it with faith and love faithfully.
Entrust it to others who teach and lead,
To spread the Word and meet the need.”
Timothy calls us to protect and share,
The gospel message everywhere.
Paul urges Timothy to endure and fight,
As a soldier of Christ, in His strength and light.
“Endure hardship, don’t get entangled in sin,
Run the race, fight to win.
The hardworking farmer reaps the reward,
So persevere and trust the Lord.”
Timothy teaches us to remain,
Faithful through trials, despite the pain.
Paul reminds Timothy of Scripture’s might,
God-breathed truth that guides us right.
“All Scripture is useful to teach and train,
Correct and equip for every gain.
Continue in what you’ve learned and believed,
God’s Word is truth, to be received.”
Timothy exalts the Bible’s role,
To shape our lives and make us whole.
