(2 Thessalonians)
Paul begins with thanks and praise,
For the Thessalonians' faithful ways.
“Your faith grows more and more,
Your love abounds like never before.
Though you suffer, God sees your pain,
He’ll bring justice and eternal gain.”
Thessalonians brings strength to endure,
With hope in Christ that’s steadfast and pure.
Paul assures the church of God’s just plan,
To punish the wicked and redeem His own.
“Christ will return in blazing fire,
To judge the world and fulfill God’s desire.
He’ll repay those who cause you harm,
And bring you peace in His loving arm.”
Thessalonians warns of judgment’s day,
But comforts believers in Christ’s way.
Paul corrects confusion about Christ’s return,
And warns of events for which to discern.
“Don’t be alarmed by false reports,
The rebellion must come, as Scripture supports.
The man of lawlessness will rise and deceive,
But Christ will destroy him, so firmly believe.”
Thessalonians teaches us to wait,
For Christ’s return, which will be great.
Paul urges the church to stand secure,
In the truth of the gospel that will endure.
“God chose you to be saved through grace,
Sanctified by the Spirit in this holy place.
Stand firm and hold to what you’ve been taught,
By word or letter, the truth you’ve sought.”
Thessalonians calls us to remain,
Faithful to Christ, through joy and pain.
Paul warns against idleness in the church,
Encouraging all to work and not to shirk.
“If anyone’s unwilling to work, don’t feed,
For laziness is not the Christian creed.
Imitate us, as we worked night and day,
Live quietly, earn your keep, and pray.”
Thessalonians teaches us to strive,
To work and serve and truly thrive.
Paul prays for the church to grow in grace,
And glorify Christ in every place.
“May the Lord direct your hearts in love,
And strengthen you with power from above.
Do not grow weary in doing good,
For God is faithful, just as He should.”
Thessalonians reminds us to trust,
In God’s strength, which is always just.
Paul gives a warning, firm and clear,
To avoid those who live in fear.
“Do not associate with the idle and vain,
But warn them gently, avoid disdain.
May the Lord of peace Himself be near,
To give you peace and calm your fear.”
Thessalonians ends with grace profound,
God’s peace and love will always abound.
