(1 Chronicles)

The book begins with genealogies long,

Tracing the history of where Israel belongs.

From Adam to Abraham, the tribes are named,

A record of God’s people, their heritage proclaimed.

The twelve tribes are listed, their families shown,

A foundation of faith, their ancestry known.

It reminds us of God’s covenant plan,

Through Israel, He would bless every land.

The story shifts to Saul, Israel’s first king,

Who failed to obey God in everything.

His reign ended in tragedy and despair,

He died in battle, his kingdom in disrepair.

The focus turns to David, God’s chosen one,

The man after God’s heart, whose reign had begun.

Saul’s failure reminds us of obedience lost,

And the price of pride, the ultimate cost.

David was anointed, his kingdom secure,

God’s favor rested on him, His promises sure.

He conquered Jerusalem, the city of peace,

And made it the center of Israel’s increase.

David’s mighty men, warriors of fame,

Fought with courage, bringing honor to God’s name.

Through trials and triumphs, David remained,

A faithful servant, though flawed and strained.

David sought to bring the Ark to its place,

To Jerusalem, the center of grace.

But Uzzah touched it and fell to the ground,

God’s holiness and power astound.

David learned to honor God’s command,

And brought the Ark with joy to the land.

The people rejoiced, God’s presence restored,

A reminder to worship and obey the Lord.

David desired to build a house for God,

But the Lord declared it was not his job.

Instead, God promised David’s line,

An eternal kingdom, a Savior divine.

David prepared materials and plans,

For Solomon to build with his hands.

He charged the people to seek the Lord,

And gave his son wisdom to keep His Word.

David organized worship, priests, and song,

Levites to serve and guide the throng.

He praised the Lord with all his might,

Declaring His glory, His power, His light.

The psalms of David, his prayers and praise,

Reflect a heart for God in all his days.

He led the people with justice and care,

Guiding them to trust God everywhere.

The book concludes with David’s reign,

A record of God’s faithfulness again.

David’s victories, his sins confessed,

God’s mercy and grace were manifest.

The promise of a kingdom eternal and true,

Through David’s line, the Messiah would come through.

1 Chronicles reminds us of God’s great plan,

His covenant love for every man.

1 Chronicles shows God’s hand at work,

Through genealogies, kings, and worship in the church.

It highlights His covenant, His promises sure,

That through David’s line, salvation would endure.

God’s faithfulness shines, His Word remains,

Through every generation, His love sustains.
