DANIEL

Daniel was taken to Babylon’s land, A young man chosen by the king’s command. He resolved to follow God’s way, Refusing the king’s food day by day. God gave him wisdom, knowledge, and skill, To interpret dreams and do His will. Daniel reminds us to stand firm and true, To honor God in all that we do.
The king had a dream, troubling and grand, A statue of gold, silver, bronze, and sand. Daniel revealed its meaning divine, God’s kingdom would come, forever to shine. The statue’s kingdoms would rise and fall, But God’s eternal reign would conquer all. This vision of history shows God’s control, His sovereign hand over every soul.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Refused to bow to an idol’s glow. Thrown in the fire, they stood unshaken, For God was with them, they weren’t forsaken. A fourth man appeared, shining bright, Protecting them in the fiery light. Their faith reminds us, in trials we face, God is with us, giving strength and grace.
Pride filled the heart of Babylon’s king, As he boasted of his wealth and everything. But God humbled him for his pride, He lived as a beast, cast outside. When Nebuchadnezzar lifted his eyes, He praised the Lord who rules the skies. Eternal is God’s dominion and reign, He humbles the proud and breaks their chain.
At Belshazzar’s feast, the wine flowed free, But a hand appeared for all to see. It wrote on the wall a message of doom, That Babylon’s kingdom would fall soon. Daniel explained the writing’s decree: “You’ve been weighed and found wanting; your kingdom will flee.” That very night, the king was slain, And Babylon fell, as God had ordained.
Daniel was faithful, though enemies conspired, To trap him in laws the king required. He prayed to God three times a day, And for this, to the lions, he was cast away. But God shut the lions’ mouths so tight, And saved His servant through the night. Daniel shows us that faith will prevail, For God’s protection will never fail.
In visions of beasts and heavenly thrones, God revealed mysteries yet unknown. A ram, a goat, and beasts arise, But God’s kingdom will conquer the lies. The Ancient of Days will judge the earth, And His Son will reign with eternal worth. Daniel’s visions point to Christ the King, Who brings salvation and everything.
The book of Daniel is a story of trust, Of God’s sovereignty, mighty and just. From fiery furnaces to the lion’s den, God’s power is seen again and again. It points to Christ, the eternal King, Whose kingdom will come, whose praises we sing. Daniel calls us to trust and obey, For God is faithful every day.
