CHILDREN OF GOD

The Father's Heart is Calling

What Does It Mean to Be a Child of God? The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. The God who sent His Word to earth!

To be called a child of God is the highest honor, the most sacred identity, and the greatest privilege any human soul can receive. It means the Creator of the universe, the Father of all, has chosen to call you His own.

But with this beautiful identity comes a divine invitation: to live as He lives, to love as He loves, and to walk in the truth that sets us free. This is not merely a title we claim; it is a life we embrace.

Hebrew – יהוה (YHWH) or Elohim, Arabic – الله‎, English – Almighty God, Spanish – Dios, French – Dieu, German – Gott, Italian – Dio, Portuguese – Deus, Dutch – God, Greek – Θεός (Theos), Russian – Бог (Bog), Hindi – परमेश्वर (Parameshvar), Chinese (Mandarin) – 上帝 (Shàngdì), Japanese – 神 (Kami), Korean – 하나님 (Hananim), Swahili – Mungu.

"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!"

1 John 3:1

Children of God

The Father's heart is calling, a voice so pure and kind,

He whispers through the ages, to those He's called to find.

He's given us His love, and asks us to return,

To walk in truth and kindness, His fire within us burn.

He calls us to be humble, to love with all our might,

To serve our brothers freely, and walk in Heaven's light.

To speak the words of justice, and seek His righteousness,

To live with pure intentions, our hearts in holiness.

What does the Father ask?

To follow in His way,

To love, to give, to serve,

And trust in Him each day.

What does the Father desire?

A heart that seeks His grace,

To walk with Him in truth,

And live in His embrace.

He wants our lives as vessels, to carry His great name,

To be His hands, His feet, His voice, and spread His holy flame.

No higher calling matters, than living in His will,

To love as He has loved us, our hearts forever still.

To walk in pure obedience, to trust in His command,

To spread His love and mercy through every corner of this land.

To seek the lost, the broken, to give the poor a hand,

To be His faithful children, forever we will stand.

Oh Father, You have shown us,

what it means to love,

Help us walk in Your footsteps,

as we look to You above.

Living as His Children: A Sacred Calling

The Father's Voice Through the Ages

From the beginning of time, the Father has been calling His children home. Not with demands or threats, but with love - pure, unconditional, sacrificial love. His voice echoes through Scripture, through creation, through the still small whisper in our hearts: "Come to Me. You are Mine. Walk with Me."

This calling is personal and universal. He calls each of us by name, knowing every detail of our lives, yet His invitation extends to all humanity. Every person who hears and responds becomes part of His eternal family, children of the Most High God.

What the Father Asks of His Children

Humility: To walk humbly before Him, recognizing that everything we have comes from His hand. Not prideful self-sufficiency, but grateful dependence on our Father.

Love: To love with all our might, not halfheartedly, not selectively, but with the same radical, all-encompassing love that He showed us through His Word made flesh.

Service: To serve our brothers and sisters freely, without expecting anything in return. To be His hands extended to a hurting world, His feet carrying hope to the hopeless.

Justice: To speak the words of justice, to stand against oppression, to defend the defenseless, and to be voices for those who have no voice.

Righteousness: To seek His righteousness, not our own self-righteousness, but the true righteousness that comes from walking in His ways and trusting in His grace.

Holiness: To live with pure intentions, our hearts set apart for Him, free from the corruption and compromise that surrounds us.

What the Father Desires From Us

The Father doesn't desire religious performance or empty rituals. He doesn't want external compliance without internal transformation. What does He truly desire?

A Heart That Seeks His Grace: Not a heart that boasts in its own goodness, but one that constantly reaches for His mercy, knowing we cannot stand without it.

Walking in Truth: Living authentic lives where our words match our actions, where we are the same in secret as we are in public, where integrity defines every decision.

Living in His Embrace: Not distant religion, but intimate relationship. Not knowing about Him, but knowing Him. Daily communion, constant conversation, moment-by-moment awareness of His presence.

Our Lives as Vessels

The Father wants to use our lives as vessels, containers that carry His presence into every situation we encounter. We become His hands that heal, His feet that go to the hurting, His voice that speaks truth and comfort.

This is not about our strength, our talent, or our ability. Empty vessels are the most useful because they can be completely filled with Him. Broken vessels can still carry living water, and often the cracks allow His light to shine through even more brightly.

To be His vessel means surrendering our own agendas, our own ambitions, our own plans, and allowing Him to flow through us freely, reaching people and places we could never reach on our own.

The Highest Calling

"No higher calling matters, than living in His will." This world offers countless pursuits: wealth, fame, success, pleasure, power. But none of these compare to the privilege of living in alignment with the Father's will.

His will is not a burden; it's freedom. His commandments are not restrictions; they're protection. His path is not narrow because He wants to limit us, but because it's the only road that leads to true life.

When we love as He has loved us, when our hearts become "forever still" in His presence, we discover what we were always meant to be: children who reflect their Father's character to a watching world.

Pure Obedience and Trust

Obedience to the Father is not legalistic rule-keeping. It's the natural response of a child who trusts their Father completely. When we know His heart, that He is good, that He loves us, that He wants our highest good, obedience becomes joy, not duty.

Trust is the foundation. We trust His command even when we don't understand the full picture. We trust His timing even when we're impatient. We trust His methods even when they don't make sense to our limited human perspective.

This trust leads us to spread His love and mercy "through every corner of this land, not because we're forced to, but because we cannot contain the overflow of what we've received from Him.

Seeking the Lost, Serving the Broken

As children of God, we inherit our Father's heart for the lost and broken. He seeks the one lost sheep. He runs to meet the prodigal son. He heals the sick, feeds the hungry, and lifts up the downtrodden.

Our calling is to do the same. To seek those who are lost, not to condemn them, but to show them the way home. To give to the poor, not from our surplus, but from our hearts. To serve the broken, not with superiority, but with compassion that comes from remembering we too were once broken.

This is what it means to be His faithful children: to extend the same grace we've received, to offer the same love that rescued us, to shine the same light that illuminated our darkness.

Forever We Will Stand

As children of God, we don't stand alone. We stand together, a global family united not by blood or nationality or culture, but by the Spirit of the living God dwelling within us.

We stand on the promises He has given. We stand in the strength He provides. We stand as witnesses to His goodness, His mercy, His faithfulness across generations.

Forever we will stand, not because of our own strength, but because we are held by the Father who will never let us go.

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"

1 John 3:1 (NIV)

Oh Father, You have shown us what it means to love,

Help us walk in Your footsteps, as we look to You above.

May we be Your hands, Your feet, Your voice in this world.

May we love as You love, serve as You serve, and live as Your children

faithful, obedient, and forever Yours.

In the name of Your Word made flesh, Amen.
