1 A nyimi tomore tonname a Yohana o batisma wa suri awa ya zoola a nyimi wake o makeke ma Yahudiya,
2 aa wa beyana, "Kurǝ na Ashili, obena togomo te shili te amara
3:2 togomo te shili te amara Anna wore obena togomo teeka Ashili ya ezaa me azaa aromo. ."
3 Ondoonaa Ishaya ondo beya angmǝ ka mawo ma Ashili wa beke angmǝ azaa wai na:
"Lengmelo ya rara owake ale beya na,
'Babara Ateokora orona, babara na marona ma wai.' "

John the Baptist Appears
(Mark 1:1-8; Luke 3:1-18; John 1:19-28)
1 In those days, John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
2 saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:
"A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
'Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.'"
